At Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the app transforms your smartphone into a Star Wars Datapad. It allows you to interact with droids, scan cargo, and take on missions. The app also provides exclusive music playlists, digital achievements, and special Disney trivia to enjoy during your visit.


Pirates Scavenger Hunt in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom

Guests can embark on a thrilling, free scavenger hunt.  “A Pirate’s Adventure ~ Treasures of the Seven Seas” is interactive. The game invites adventurers to help Captain Jack Sparrow.  Finish a series of challenges and find hidden treasures scattered throughout Adventureland in Magic Kingdom.

Participants get a special pirate map and a talisman.  Use them to unlock clues and turn on surprising effects, like secret doors, hidden treasure chests, and more. Upon completing the missions, participants even get a small token of appreciation.


Free Pixie Dust at Sir Mickey’s

For a touch of magic, visit Sir Mickey’s Merchandise in Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom. Here, Cast Members will sprinkle free “pixie dust” on guests, making you sparkle just like Tinker Bell. This little extra adds an enchanting flair to your day, making you feel like part of the Disney fairytale.


Wilderness Explorers Adventure at Animal Kingdom

For guests with curious minds and a love for nature, the Wilderness Explorers program at Animal Kingdom is a “must-do”. Inspired by Russell from Disney’s “Up”, this interactive adventure allows kids (and adults!) to earn badges by completing fun and educational challenges around the park.

Kidcot Fun Stops at EPCOT

EPCOT’s World Showcase is a theme park of culture and innovation.  The Kidcot Fun Stops make it even more fun for young visitors. Each pavilion in the World Showcase has a Kidcot station where children can collect stamps and create a personalized keepsake.

It’s a wonderful way to learn about different countries while crafting a unique souvenir.


EPCOT Festivals: Free Activities and Exhibits

EPCOT is known for its seasonal festivals, like the Flower & Garden Festival and the Food & Wine Festival. These events often include free activities, exhibits, and demonstrations.

This interactive playground has guests exploring the wonders of creativity and imagination. Image Works is located just beyond “Journey into Imagination with Figment”. It invites visitors to try a variety of hands-on exhibits. These exhibits stimulate the senses and spark the imagination.

Here, you can create your own musical masterpiece by stepping on lighted squares or transform your shadow into colorful shapes.


Project Tomorrow at the exit of Spaceship Earth in EPCOT

Guests can explore the future of technology and its impact on our world inside the “icon” of EPCOT! Visitors are invited to learn more about communication, innovation, and human progress through hands-on activities.

Project Tomorrow features interactive games and displays. Guests can create personalized avatars. They can test their driving skills in a futuristic vehicle simulator. Guests can also explore medical technologies.


Space Base at Mission: Space at EPCOT

Designed to give kids a chance to burn off some energy, Space Base is a space-themed play area. After completing their mission on the thrilling Mission: SPACE attraction, kids can enter Space Base to continue their intergalactic adventure.

The play area features a variety of activities, including climbing structures, tunnels, and slides, all themed around space exploration.


Character Meet and Greets

Many characters are available for meet-and-greets throughout the parks. Keep an eye on the My Disney Experience app for updated schedules and locations.


Pin Trading

For those who enjoy collecting, Disney pin trading provides a fun way to interact with Cast Members. It also offers an interactive opportunity to engage with other guests. Bring your pins or buy a starter set and trade with Cast Members throughout the parks.

It’s a fantastic way to score unique pins. You can also interact with Disney employees. They often have great stories to share about the parks.

Resort Hopping

You don’t have to stay at a Disney Resort to explore them. Take a self-guided tour of the various Disney Resort hotels and immerse yourself in their spectacular themes.

From the tropical paradise of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, each hotel offers a distinct atmosphere. The Victorian elegance of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa also provides a unique experience. Look out for seasonal decorations, themed lobbies, and even free entertainment, like live music

Use the Disney transportation system to get around property. That’s just one more thing that is free in Disney World!


Electrical Water Pageant

The Electrical Water Pageant is a nightly tradition that dates to the early days of Disney World.

This charming, floating parade of illuminated sea creatures can be viewed from the shores of various Magic Kingdom-area resorts. It’s a nostalgic experience that captures the essence of Disney magic.

Celebration Buttons

Something else that’s free in Disney World are Celebration Buttons! Whether you’re celebrating a birthday or an anniversary, be sure to pick up a button. If it’s your first visit, you can also get a button from Guest Services and merchandise locations.

Wearing one of these buttons can lead to special interactions with Cast Members.  It’ s a great way to make your special day even more magical.

Movies Under the Stars

Many of the Disney Resort hotels offer complimentary outdoor movie screenings. Known as “Movies Under the Stars,” these screenings take place outdoors. This allows guests to relax and enjoy classic Disney films under the night sky.

It’s the perfect way to wind down after a day in the parks.

Disney World is a treasure trove of hidden gems, and many of them are completely free! These activities add depth to your experience. They also give unique opportunities to explore the parks and resorts in new ways.
