What Is Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party?
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a special holiday celebration held on select evenings at Magic Kingdom during the Christmas season. Unlike a regular day in the park, this event offers exclusive entertainment, holiday character experiences, themed attraction overlays, complimentary seasonal treats, and a festive atmosphere throughout the evening.
It’s a chance to experience Magic Kingdom in a different way, with Christmas music, holiday decorations, and some familiar Disney favorites getting a seasonal makeover.
A little planning goes a long way. Because this is a separately ticketed event, you’ll need a party ticket “separate” from a park ticket. You don’t need both however!
- You need a party ticket only if you plan to attend
- You’ll need a park ticket if you plan to visit Magic Kingdom outside of the holiday party hours.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Character Greetings
For many Disney fans, meeting favorite characters in their holiday attire is one of the biggest draws of the party.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party offers exclusive character greeting opportunities, giving guests the chance to see some familiar faces in a different seasonal setting.
Some of the character experiences featured in 2026 include:
- Anna and Elsa at Princess Fairytale Hall.
- Jack Skellington as Santa and Sally at Town Square Theater.
- Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse dressed in their finest holiday outfits at Town Square Theater.
These special appearances are a fun way to add something different to your Disney character collection and capture some memorable Christmas vacation photos.

Meet Santa at Magic Kingdom
A Christmas celebration wouldn’t be complete without Santa!
Santa’s Christmas Carnival returns to Storybook Circus, near Dumbo the Flying Elephant and The Barnstormer. This experience is particularly appealing for families with younger children.
In addition to meeting Santa, guests can enjoy crafts and visit with other Christmas friends.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Entertainment
The entertainment is a major part of what makes Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party such a special event. From a traditional Christmas parade to fireworks and castle-stage performances, there’s plenty to enjoy throughout the evening.

Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas Parade
If there’s one experience that captures the spirit of Christmas at Magic Kingdom, it’s Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas Parade.
This festive parade features dancing gingerbread men, whimsical ballroom dancers, marching toy soldiers, beloved Disney characters in their holiday attire, and plenty of upbeat Christmas music.
And, of course, Santa Claus makes a special appearance as the parade concludes with wishes for a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
A viewing tip: The parade travels from Frontierland toward Main Street, U.S.A., giving guests several locations throughout the park to enjoy the performance.
Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks
Get ready for a Christmas fireworks spectacular hosted by Minnie Mouse!
Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks combines familiar holiday classics, including “Deck the Halls” and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas,” with spectacular pyrotechnics, castle projections, and lighting effects.
Cinderella Castle transforms into a beautifully wrapped Christmas present, with colorful holiday scenes synchronized to the music and fireworks.
For guests who want to experience the castle projections, viewing in front of Cinderella Castle is a great choice. Other viewing locations throughout Magic Kingdom include Liberty Square, Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland.
Fireworks Dessert Parties
Want to add a little something extra to your fireworks experience?
Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Dessert Parties offer a separately priced experience featuring an assortment of treats and fireworks viewing opportunities.
Reservation details and available experiences can vary, so check Disney’s current offerings when planning your visit.

Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration
Christmas cheer takes center stage during Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration, an energetic performance on the Cinderella Castle stage.
Disney friends come together for a joyful medley of holiday music featuring live performers and familiar characters, including Clarabelle Cow, Daisy Duck, and Woody from Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story films.
It’s a festive performance that adds another layer of Christmas entertainment to the evening.

Frozen Holiday Surprise and Holiday Dance Parties
The holiday fun continues with Frozen Holiday Surprise, featuring Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff, and the snowgies as Cinderella Castle transforms into a frozen wonderland.
Looking for something a little more interactive? Guests can also dance the night away at two holiday dance parties:
- Club Tinsel: Rocket Tower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland.
- Disney Junior Jingle Jam: Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café in Tomorrowland.
These experiences are especially fun for families looking to add a little extra holiday energy to their evening.
Holiday-Themed Attractions at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
One of the things I love about Disney’s special ticketed events is the opportunity to experience familiar attractions with a little something extra.
During Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, several Magic Kingdom attractions receive holiday-themed makeovers.

For 2026, these include:
- Space Mountain
- Tomorrowland Speedway
- Mad Tea Party
- Jungle Cruise
- Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor
In addition to these seasonal experiences, guests can enjoy many of Magic Kingdom’s classic attractions during the party.
Some of the available attractions include Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Peter Pan’s Flight, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, TRON Lightcycle / Run presented by Enterprise, and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin.
There are plenty of opportunities to mix some favorite rides into your Christmas celebration.

Christmas Cookies, Festive Beverages and Holiday Treats
What’s a Christmas party without cookies?
One of the fun traditions at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is the opportunity to enjoy complimentary holiday treats throughout the park.
Guests can find a variety of cookies, festive beverages, and other seasonal goodies at select locations around Magic Kingdom. These treats are included with the cost of the party ticket.
It’s a sweet little addition to the evening and another way to enjoy the holiday atmosphere as you explore the park.
Disney also offers additional seasonal food and beverage options during the Christmas season, so keep an eye out for new offerings each year.

Tips for Making the Most of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
With so much happening throughout the evening, a little advance planning can help you enjoy more of what matters most to you.
Here are a few things to keep in mind when planning your party night:
- Take advantage of early entry. Guests can enter Magic Kingdom at 4:00 p.m., giving you extra time before the official 7:00 p.m. party start.
- Prioritize exclusive experiences. Character greetings, entertainment, and seasonal attraction overlays are a big part of what makes this event different from a regular park day.
- Plan your entertainment. Think about which parade, fireworks, and stage performances are must-dos for your family.
- Leave room for treats. Complimentary cookies and festive beverages are part of the experience!
- Don’t try to do everything. Choose the experiences that matter most to you rather than spending the entire evening rushing from one attraction to another.
Remember, this is a special event, not simply another evening at Magic Kingdom. Give yourself time to enjoy the atmosphere!
Is Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Worth It?
That depends on what you’re looking for in your Disney World Christmas vacation.
If you love holiday entertainment, exclusive character experiences, Christmas music, festive attractions, and the opportunity to experience Magic Kingdom in a different way, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party can be a wonderful addition to your trip.
It’s also a great option for families who want to make Christmas memories together, Disney fans who enjoy seasonal experiences, and guests who simply love seeing the parks dressed for the holidays.
However, remember that the party requires a separate ticket. Consider your vacation budget, the number of days you’ll be visiting the parks, and how much you value the exclusive entertainment and experiences when deciding whether to add it to your plans.
There is no one-size-fits-all answer. The best Disney vacation is the one that fits the way you want to travel.
