If you love the holidays and have a soft spot for old Hollywood glamour, Jollywood Nights might be right up your alley.
This separately ticketed holiday event takes over Disney’s Hollywood Studios on select nights during the holiday season. It brings together festive entertainment, seasonal food and drinks, special character appearances, holiday decorations. There are plenty of opportunities to soak up the atmosphere.
And honestly? Jollywood Nights has its own personality.
While Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom leans into the traditional Disney Christmas experience, Jollywood Nights has more of a vintage-Hollywood-meets-holiday feel. Think twinkling lights, jazzy entertainment, colorful costumes, specialty treats, and the Tower of Terror providing a very Hollywood backdrop.

What Exactly Is Jollywood Nights?
Jollywood Nights is a separately ticketed event at Disney’s Hollywood Studios held on select evenings during the holiday season.
The event takes place after regular park hours, giving ticket holders several hours to enjoy entertainment and experiences that aren’t part of a typical day at Hollywood Studios.
One thing I think is important to know right away: Jollywood Nights isn’t simply Hollywood Studios with Christmas decorations. The event has its own entertainment, characters, food, merchandise, and atmosphere.
If you’re deciding whether to add it to your Disney vacation, I’d look at it as a special holiday experience rather than another park day.

The Atmosphere Is Part of the Experience
Jollywood Nights takes the Hollywood Studios theme and gives it a holiday twist.
The park is dressed up with festive decorations and lights, while holiday music and entertainment create a completely different feel once the event gets underway. The Tower of Terror also gets in on the fun with holiday-themed projections.
And this is one of those events where I wouldn’t plan to simply race from attraction to attraction.
Take some time to look around.
Grab a holiday drink. Stop for a photo. Watch one of the live performances. Wander through the decorated areas of the park. The atmosphere is a big part of what makes Jollywood Nights different from a regular evening at Hollywood Studios.

Entertainment Is a Big Part of Jollywood Nights
One of the biggest draws of Jollywood Nights is the entertainment lineup.
Disney has continued to build the event around live shows, music, performances and holiday entertainment, rather than making it primarily about attractions.
Depending on the year, entertainment has included experiences such as:
- A holiday skating spectacular
- Live bands and musical performances
- Holiday stage shows
- Themed sing-alongs
- Special nighttime entertainment
- Holiday entertainment throughout the park
The exact lineup can change from season to season, so this is one area where I always recommend checking the current year’s event information before making your plan.
Jessica’s Tip
Don’t try to do everything.
There can be a lot happening during a limited number of event hours. If there are specific shows or entertainment experiences you really want to see, build your evening around those first. Then fill in the rest of your night with characters, treats, attractions and exploring.
Special Character Experiences
Character appearances are another fun part of Jollywood Nights.
Disney typically brings out some characters in holiday attire, along with characters and combinations that you may not normally see during a regular day at Hollywood Studios.
That’s part of the appeal, but it’s also something to plan for.
Popular character opportunities can attract long waits, and with limited event hours, you don’t want to accidentally spend most of your evening standing in line.
If meeting a particular character is high on your list, I’d make that a priority and build the rest of your evening around it.

Holiday Food & Drinks
And then there’s the food. 🎄
Special-event food is a big part of the Jollywood Nights experience, with seasonal snacks, desserts and specialty beverages available throughout Hollywood Studios.
The menus change, so I don’t recommend planning your entire trip around one specific treat. Instead, check the current year’s food guide and make a short list of the things that actually sound worth trying to you.
My rule for special events: don’t spend half the night chasing food.
Pick a few must-tries, share when it makes sense, and leave plenty of time for the entertainment that you came for.

Exclusive Jollywood Nights Merchandise
Like most Disney special events, Jollywood Nights also brings its own merchandise.
You’ll typically find event-specific apparel, souvenirs and holiday items that aren’t available year-round.
If you’re a Disney merchandise person, I’d take a look early in the evening rather than waiting until the last few minutes before the event ends. Nobody wants to discover the souvenir they wanted is sold out—or spend the final 20 minutes of the night standing in a merchandise checkout line!
Is Jollywood Nights Worth Adding to Your Trip?
This is where I’d stop and think about what you want from your Disney vacation.
Jollywood Nights can be a great addition if you:
- Love holiday entertainment and decorations
- Enjoy live performances
- Want a more unique holiday experience
- Like specialty food and drinks
- Enjoy meeting characters
- Don’t mind paying separately for a special event
- Want something different from a traditional Disney Christmas party
But if your family would rather spend those evening hours riding attractions, watching the regular nighttime entertainment, or simply enjoying the parks without another ticketed event, you may decide that your vacation dollars are better spent elsewhere.
There isn’t one right way to do the holidays at Disney World. It’s about figuring out which experiences matter most to your family.
Planning Your Jollywood Nights Evening
The biggest thing I’d keep in mind when planning Jollywood Nights is that you have a limited amount of time.
Don’t arrive with a list of 25 things you want to accomplish.
Instead, decide:
What are the 2–3 things we really don’t want to miss?
Maybe it’s a particular character. Maybe it’s a show. Maybe it’s the food. Maybe you just want to enjoy the atmosphere and ride a few attractions with shorter waits.
Start there.
Then let the rest of the evening happen.
That’s usually a much better way to experience a special event than spending the entire night watching the clock and checking off a list.

Jollywood Nights vs. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
If you’re trying to decide between Disney’s two separately ticketed holiday parties, remember that they’re very different experiences.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party takes place at Magic Kingdom and has a more traditional Disney Christmas-party feel.
Jollywood Nights takes place at Hollywood Studios and puts more emphasis on entertainment, live performances, Hollywood-style atmosphere, specialty food and unique character experiences.
Neither is simply a replacement for the other. If you’re visiting during the holiday season and have the time and budget, they’re two very different ways to celebrate Christmas at Disney World.

What’s New This Year?
Jollywood Nights is extending into January for the first time!
The 2026 event runs from November 7 through January 5, giving guests visiting after the traditional holiday season an opportunity to experience the celebration.
The 2026 entertainment lineup also includes the return of “Glisten!”, along with favorites such as “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” and “What’s This? Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along.”
I’ll continue updating this section as Disney releases additional information throughout the season.
2026 Dates & Hours
Jollywood Nights will take place on select evenings from November 7, 2026 through January 5, 2027.
November: November 7, 14, 16, 21, 23, 28
December: December 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21, 23
January: January 3, 5
The event officially runs from 7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
Even better, Jollywood Nights ticket holders can enter Hollywood Studios as early as 5:30 p.m.
Jessica’s Tip
I’d take advantage of that early entry if you can.
Those two hours before the party officially begins give you some breathing room to grab a bite, take photos, check out the holiday decorations and get yourself in position for the evening.
I’ll continue updating this guide as Disney releases additional details and makes changes throughout the season.
