Why Use Mobile Ordering?
When you’re at Disney, every minute counts—and mobile ordering can help you spend less of your day waiting in line for food. With just a few taps in the My Disney Experience app, you can choose your meal, pay ahead, and pick it up when you’re ready.
Mobile ordering is available at many Quick-Service locations throughout the theme parks and Disney Resort hotels. One of the biggest benefits? You can order ahead of time, making it easier to work meals into your park-day plans instead of stopping the fun when everyone gets hungry.

Step by Step Disney Mobile Order
Let’s dive into the steps you take and what you need to know about mobile ordering when you are on vacation at Disney World.
- Open the Disney World app on your device
- Click on the circled “+” sign at the bottom of the screen
- Click on the “order food” option
Once You Reach the Mobile Order Screen
1. Choose “Available Now” or “Nearby”
The app uses your location to show Quick-Service dining options near you. Choose “Available Now” to see locations currently accepting mobile orders, or “Nearby” to browse the closest options.
2. Choose Your Dining Location
Nearby Quick-Service locations will populate based on your location. Select a restaurant and tap “Begin Order.” Depending on availability, you may be able to order for a pickup window beginning now or select a later available time.
3. Choose Your Menu Items
Browse the menu or use the search feature to find what you’re looking for. Select your food and drinks, customize your choices when available, and tap “Add to Order” with each selection.
4. Review Your Order
Finished choosing? Tap “View Order” to see everything in your cart. Take a moment to check your selections before moving on.
5. Review Your Order Summary
You’ll be prompted to “Review Order Summary.” This is your chance to make sure your items, pickup time, and order details are correct before paying.
6. Choose Your Payment Method
When everything looks good, you’ll be taken to the payment screen. Depending on your order, you can choose from available payment options, including Dining Plan credits, a credit card saved in your My Disney Experience account, or Disney Gift Cards loaded to your account.
You Have a Mobile Order, What’s Next?
You will be notified by alert in the app when your pickup time window opens. What’s next?
- You will also be asked to let the food service location know when you are nearby so they can begin preparing your order.
- Once you alert them to do that, you will then be notified when your order is ready for pickup.
- There is a mobile order pickup window at each location.

Pick up your food, have a seat and enjoy!
Tips For the Best Mobile Order Experience
- Order food in advance of the time you want to eat. Why? Sometimes pickup windows aren’t available right away. If you wait until you’re hungry, you could get hangry waiting longer.
- Familiarize yourself with the process BEFORE you get to the parks. You can create orders without purchasing from anywhere
- Familiarize yourself with food service locations and menus before heading to the parks. If you already have an idea of what you want to eat you avoid being overwhelmed.
- You can place a mobile order from your resort quick service location. Wake up and order breakfast- it will be ready by the time you get there.
Final Thoughts
Once you know how to use mobile ordering, it can make a Disney park day just a little easier—and a lot less stressful. From choosing your meal to selecting a pickup window, the My Disney Experience app puts the process right at your fingertips.
My biggest tip? Don’t wait until everyone is hungry to place your order! Ordering ahead gives you more flexibility and can help you spend less time waiting and more time enjoying the magic.
Now that you know how mobile ordering works, give it a try on your next Disney World vacation. Your future hungry self will thank you!
