A Meal with a Little Disney Magic
One of the things I like about the Fantasmic! Dining Package is that you get to choose the dining experience that fits your family. Participating restaurants offer very different atmospheres and menus, so your meal can be as casual or as special as you’d like.
The exact menu and package inclusions vary by restaurant, so it’s always a good idea to check the current menu before making your reservation. Depending on the restaurant, your meal may include an appetizer and entrée or an entrée and dessert, along with a non-alcoholic beverage. At some locations, the dining experience is a buffet or has other menu-specific options.

Reserved Viewing for Fantasmic!
Of course, the meal is only half of the equation.
The real draw of the Fantasmic! Dining Package for many guests is the opportunity to use a reserved viewing area for Fantasmic! after your meal.
Instead of wondering where you’ll watch the show or spending a significant amount of time waiting for a spot, your dining package gives you access to a designated viewing area. You’ll still want to arrive in plenty of time for the show, but you can have some peace of mind knowing that you have access to the reserved section.
Sometimes not having to worry about where you’re going to watch the nighttime spectacular is worth a lot!
Dinner and a Show—Disney Style
Fantasmic! is one of those Disney experiences where the show really is worth making time for. Mickey Mouse takes center stage in a spectacular story filled with Disney Characters, music, water, fire, projections, and plenty of classic Disney storytelling.
That’s what makes the dining package such an appealing combination. You can sit down and enjoy your meal without feeling like you’re giving up your chance to see Fantasmic! from a reserved viewing area.
Rather than treating dinner and the nighttime spectacular as two completely separate plans, you can build them into one evening.
Is the Fantasmic! Dining Package Worth It?
This is where I think it’s important to look beyond the price of the meal itself.
The Fantasmic! Dining Package isn’t necessarily the right choice for everyone. If you’re trying to keep your Disney vacation budget as low as possible, you may prefer a Quick Service meal and regular standby viewing for Fantasmic!.
But if you were already planning to enjoy a Table Service meal, the package can be an appealing way to combine that meal with reserved viewing for the show.
For me, the biggest consideration is how much you value your time and convenience. If the thought of waiting for Fantasmic!, worrying about finding a good viewing location, and then spending part of your evening standing in line doesn’t sound appealing, the reserved viewing opportunity may make the additional cost worthwhile.
And if you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply want to make your evening feel a little more relaxed and special, combining dinner and Fantasmic! can be a wonderful way to do it.
As always, check Disney’s current menus, participating restaurants, package inclusions, and pricing when you’re ready to book, since these details can change.
My advice? Decide what matters most to you. If it’s the food, choose the restaurant you’ll enjoy most. If it’s the convenience of reserved Fantasmic! viewing, consider whether that benefit is worth incorporating into your dining budget. And if you want both, the Fantasmic! Dining Package can make for a pretty memorable Disney evening.
