With new attractions, hotel options, and updated ticketing strategies, it’s no surprise guests have lots of questions. What Are the Ticket Options for Epic Universe in 2025 and 2026?
First, since Epic Universe has joined the lineup, Universal has adjusted its ticketing options. Guests can now experience this brand-new park in several ways. It depends on how long you want to stay. It also depends on which other parks you’d like to visit.

- 2025 tickets can be bundled. Options include:
- 2 or 3 Park / 2 Day Park-to-Park (or longer) + 1 Day Epic.
- 1 Day Epic-only ticket.
- Starting early 2026: 3 Park, Park-to-Park tickets (Islands, Studios, Epic). Note: Volcano Bay will be closed for updates in the beginning of the year.

How Does Express Pass Work at Epic Universe?
First, the Express Pass has always been a big perk at Universal Orlando. However, things work a little differently at Epic Universe. So, knowing the difference will save you time and set the right expectations before your trip

- Free Unlimited Express is not included for Epic Universe at Signature hotels.
- Epic Express Pass is available as an add-on, but Unlimited Express is not offered.
- At the original parks, Signature Resorts still include Unlimited Express (except Sapphire Falls).
- Just released: Mine Cart Madness and Battle at the Ministry now accept Express Pass.

- Stay on property and use Early Theme Park Entry- arrive early.
- Prioritize high-demand rides.

Where Should I Stay?
Universal Orlando is home to a wide variety of hotels, from budget-friendly family suites to luxurious resorts with special perks. Ultimately, your choice of hotel can make a big difference in convenience, benefits, and overall vacation experience.

- Closest to Epic: Terra Luna, Stella Nova, and Helios Grand (inside Epic with park views and private entrance).
- Value/Prime Value Hotels: Endless Summer, Cabana Bay (great for families), Aventura, Terra Luna, Stella Nova.
Is Universal Right for Families with Young Kids?
Many people assume Universal is only for thrill-seekers, but there’s plenty for families with little ones. As a result, the resort has invested heavily in attractions, play areas, and experiences designed specifically for the youngest children.

- DreamWorks Land, Seuss Landing, How to Train Your Dragon- Isle of Berk.
- Splash zones, play areas, interactive spaces.
- Wizarding World interactive fun for all ages.
- Family suites at themed hotels: Jurassic Park, How to Train Your Dragon.
- Characters: Shrek & Donkey, Trolls, Dr. Seuss friends, Scooby Doo gang, Simpsons, How to Train Your Dragon crew.

When is the Best Time to Visit?
Timing your trip can make a big difference when it comes to crowds, costs, and seasonal offerings. For instance, visiting during off-peak months can often mean lower prices and shorter wait times. On the other hand, if you’re hoping to experience special events, plan your visit around those dates. This strategy can add even more magic to your trip. Ultimately, Universal Orlando offers something for every type of traveler—no matter when you choose to visit.
- Holidays: Grinchmas, Mardi Gras, and Halloween Horror Nights.
- Lower crowd times: January, May, September.
- Avoid early 2026 if Volcano Bay is a must for your family.

How Long Should I Stay?
Universal Orlando has grown into a full vacation destination, not just a quick getaway. With Epic Universe joining the resort, you’ll want more days than ever to experience it all.

- Universal Orlando is now a week-long destination.
- Build in rest days to enjoy pools, resort dining, and experiences outside the parks.
Frequently Asked Questions
A: In 2025, Epic-only tickets are available as part of bundles, like a 2-Park/2-Day Park-to-Park plus 1 day at Epic, or as a standalone 1-Day Epic ticket. Starting in 2026, you can purchase 3-Park Park-to-Park tickets that include Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios Florida, and Epic Universe.
A: No. Unlike Universal’s other parks, Epic Universe does not offer free Unlimited Express with Signature Hotel stays. However, Epic Express Pass can be purchased as a ticket add-on.
A: Universal recently announced that Mine Cart Madness and Battle at the Ministry—two of Epic’s most popular attractions—now participate in Express Pass.
A: The three closest are Terra Luna, Stella Nova, and the Grand Helios Hotel, which is located inside Epic Universe with its own private entrance and stunning park views.
A: Hard Rock Hotel, Loews Royal Pacific Resort, and Loews Portofino Bay Hotel all include Unlimited Express. Sapphire Falls is the only Signature Hotel that does not.
A: Yes! Families with young children will love DreamWorks Land, Seuss Landing, Isle of Berk, Super Nintendo World, and interactive character meet-and-greets throughout the parks.
A: With three theme parks, a water park, CityWalk, and incredible resorts, Universal Orlando is now a week-long destination. Plan at least 5–7 days to fully enjoy the experience.
A: For lower crowds, visit in late January, early May, or September. If you want extra seasonal fun, consider Mardi Gras, Grinchmas, or Halloween Horror Nights (not recommended for kids under 13).
