This space is a colorful, playful area designed with younger guests in mind. It brings some very familiar characters to life in a big way.
Opened in summer 2024, DreamWorks Land replaced Woody Woodpecker’s KidZone. If your family loves Shrek, Trolls, Kung Fu Panda, and other DreamWorks favorites, there’s plenty here to explore, play, and discover.
Whether your little ones want to meet their favorite characters, splash around, enjoy a kid-friendly attraction, or simply soak in all the colorful details, DreamWorks Land gives families a whole new reason to slow down and enjoy this corner of Universal Studios Florida.

Step Into Shrek’s Swamp
It wouldn’t be DreamWorks Land without a little time in the swamp! Shrek and some of his favorite friends—including Donkey and Princess Fiona—are ready to meet guests in this fun, swamp-side setting. And yes, there’s plenty here for your littlest ogres, too, with a play area designed just for them.
Fans of Puss in Boots: The Last Wish will also find their own little corner of the story here. Mama Luna’s cats bring the area to life with an interactive experience that gives kids a chance to play and explore—and you never know when Puss in Boots himself might make an appearance!

And if your kids love anything involving water, be sure to check out the interactive water feature. They can create their own “melodious masterpiece” by stomping on lily pads and joining the ever-changing chorus of frogs. It’s one of those little experiences that can be surprisingly entertaining for kids!
Of course, all that exploring is bound to work up an appetite. A quick-service food kiosk offers Shrek-inspired snacks, giving you another opportunity to bring a little more of the story into your day.
Get Ready to Troll Around
If your family is all about the Trolls, Trolls Village is going to be a colorful little stop you won’t want to miss! The village brings Poppy, Branch, and their friends to life. This space is full of bright colors, playful details, and activities designed with younger guests in mind.
One of the first things you’ll notice is the magnificent fountain featuring Poppy and Branch. This is a fun photo spot and a great way to officially enter the Trolls’ world. Little ones can also burn off some energy at the play area tucked beneath a giant 20-foot mushroom, complete with climbing structures designed for even the smallest adventurers.

And then there’s the Trollercoaster! This family-friendly coaster gives younger thrill-seekers the chance to hop aboard and take a ride through the Trolls’ world. It’s a great option for kids who may not be quite ready for Universal’s bigger coasters but still want a little excitement.
After your ride, make sure you leave room for a stop at Trolls Treats. Poppy’s Boombox has been transformed into a colorful ice cream stand serving up some seriously fun and unique treats. Because, really, what better way to finish your visit to Trolls Village than with ice cream?
Join Po for Some Kung Fu Fun
If you have a little Kung Fu Panda fan in your family, Po’s Kung Fu Training Camp is ready to put them to work! This playful area invites kids to help Po and the Kung Fu team with a very important task—the laundry! Because even Dragon Warriors have to keep their clothes clean, right?

The training camp includes both wet and dry play areas, giving little ones plenty of opportunities to run, climb, splash, and explore. It’s the kind of spot where kids can burn off some energy while parents get a chance to catch their breath.
And, of course, no Kung Fu Panda experience would be complete without meeting the Dragon Warrior himself! Guests can interact with Po through a digital experience, adding another fun way for little fans to get up close with one of their favorite DreamWorks characters.
Final Thoughts
DreamWorks Land is a win for families with little ones! It’s colorful, playful, and packed with opportunities to see favorite characters, splash, play, snack, and experience Universal in a way that feels just right for younger guests. If you’re visiting Universal Studios Florida with kids, I’d definitely make room in your day to explore this fun-filled corner of the park!
