Suddenly, I emotional! Not only that, but I was hooked!

My First Visit to the Wizarding World
One of my favorite parts about traveling is discovering places that completely exceed my expectations.
Walking into Hogsmeade for the very first time felt less like entering a theme park and more like stepping into the pages of a story. Snow-covered rooftops, the sounds of the Hogwarts choir, the scent of Butterbeer drifting through the air, and Hogwarts Castle standing proudly above it all created an atmosphere unlike anything I had experienced before.
Even if you don’t know every spell or every character, it’s impossible not to appreciate the incredible level of detail that Universal has created. Every visit, I notice something new—from moving portraits and hidden creatures to magical surprises tucked into shop windows.
Hogsmeade™ – Where the Magic Begins
For many guests, Hogsmeade is where their Wizarding World adventure begins. Nestled within Universal Islands of Adventure, this charming village captures the warmth and wonder of the beloved books and films.
As you stroll through the winding streets, you’ll discover iconic locations including:

If Hogsmeade feels magical, Diagon Alley feels like stepping directly into the films.
Hidden behind an unassuming brick wall inside Universal Studios Florida, Diagon Alley reveals one of the most immersive lands ever created. Towering above it all is the incredible Ukrainian Ironbelly dragon perched atop Gringotts Bank, breathing fire throughout the day.

One of the most exciting additions to Universal Orlando Resort is the breathtaking Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ – Ministry of Magic™, located inside Epic Universe.
Inspired by both the Fantastic Beasts films and the British Ministry of Magic from the Harry Potter series, this land transports guests to wizarding Paris in the 1920s before leading them into one of the most ambitious attractions Universal has ever created.
The architecture alone is worth slowing down to admire. Every street, storefront, and hidden detail helps create the feeling that you’ve stepped into another era of the Wizarding World.
The featured attraction, Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry™, blends impressive practical sets, innovative technology, and an original storyline into an unforgettable adventure. Without giving away any spoilers, it’s quickly become one of my favorite attractions across all of Universal Orlando Resort.
Even if you’ve visited Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley before, Ministry of Magic offers an entirely new perspective on the Wizarding World that feels both familiar and refreshingly different.
Ride the Hogwarts Express™
One of the most unique experiences at Universal Orlando is traveling between Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley aboard the Hogwarts Express.
Keep in mind that you’ll need a Park-to-Park ticket to ride.
My biggest tip? Ride it both directions.
Each journey tells a different story, making the return trip just as enjoyable as the first.
Choose Your Wand
No visit feels complete without stopping by Ollivanders.
Watching a young wizard (or witch) be chosen by a wand is always entertaining, and interactive wands make exploring all three Wizarding Worlds even more fun.
Throughout Hogsmeade, Diagon Alley, and now Ministry of Magic, you’ll discover spell-casting locations where your wand can unlock magical surprises hidden throughout the lands.
It’s one of those experiences that brings out the kid in everyone.
Butterbeer™ – Which One Should You Try?

Honestly…there isn’t a wrong answer.
