Loews Sapphire Falls

Experience Caribbean Charm at Loews Sapphire Falls Resort

Within the middle of the Universal Orlando property, Loews Sapphire Falls Resort is a tropical paradise that blends Caribbean charm with modern luxury. My stay in a standard 2 queen room offered an escape that was both relaxing and packed with convenience. Formerly in the “preferred category“, this hotel was recently included in the new Signature Hotel category along with Grand Helios, Loews Royal Pacific, Hard Rock Hotel and Loews Portofino Bay (formerly “premier category hotels“).

This hotel is ideal for vacationers seeking the magic of the parks paired with a touch of serenity.  Let’s break down the positive and negative of staying at this hotel. First, let me encourage you to book your next trip with a travel professional who specializes in Universal Studios parks and resorts. That first step adds a huge resource to your plans and saves you time at no extra costs.

Welcoming Ambiance and Check-In

Guests enter the light and airy lobby filled with the scent of the tropics in the air. The Caribbean-inspired décor provided a refreshing contrast to the hustle and bustle of the theme parks.

Check-in is seamless, with friendly staff who offer smiles, helpful tips, and a warm “welcome home” vibe that made us feel instantly at ease.

Room Features and Comfort

The standard 2 queen room is designed with both functionality and comfort in mind. Guests are greeted by a bright, beach-inspired decor—think soft blues, crisp whites, and warm wood tones. Pricing for this room category starts at approximately $139/night but varies by date.

The beds are very comfortable! They offer the perfect landing spot after long days exploring Universal Studios, Volcano Bay and Islands of Adventure. Each queen-sized bed features high-quality linens and ample pillows.

Storage is plentiful!  There’s a roomy closet and ample dresser space. The room is equipped with a flat-screen TV, complimentary Wi-Fi, and a convenient mini-fridge to store snacks and drinks.

The room has desk space that is great for catching up on emails or planning our next day’s adventure. But, it rarely saw use as we soaked in every moment at the parks.

Bathroom and Amenities

The bathroom is modern and clean, featuring a spacious vanity area. The shower is stocked with luxe toiletries that carried a light, refreshing scent.

A standout amenity of Sapphire Falls is its massive pool area, which has a sand beach, water slide, and many seating options including private cabanas for a nominal fee.  It is, in fact, the largest pool at any of the Universal Orlando Resort Hotels.

We loved spending time there during breaks from the parks. Additionally, for fitness enthusiasts, the gym is well-equipped and overlooks the pool, offering plenty of motivation.

Resort Dining and Connectivity

Dining at the resort is a treat. We enjoyed more than one delicious meal at Amatista Cookhouse. The restaurant offers diverse menu options ranging from classic favorites to unique Caribbean-inspired dishes. It’s among one of the top restaurant choices at the Universal Orlando hotels. For a quick bite, Strong Water Tavern offers small plates and craft cocktails.

CityWalk water Taxi

One of the major perks of staying at Loews Sapphire Falls Resort is the water taxi service that connects guests to Universal CityWalk and the parks. The leisurely ride is scenic and beats taking a bus or car.

The water taxi service provides a touch of extra magic to each commute. Plus, early park admission for hotel guests adds value, giving guests on property a head start on popular attractions.

Overall Impression

Staying in a standard 2 queen room at Loews Sapphire Falls Resort made our Universal Orlando vacation comfortable and memorable. The combination of welcoming ambiance, accommodations, and amenities left us feeling relaxed.

The ease of access to the parks, coupled with a relaxing retreat to return to each night, made it a standout choice for us. Whether you’re there for the thrill of the rides or simply a luxurious escape, Loews Sapphire Falls delivers a tropical getaway with all the modern conveniences. Highly recommended!
