Love is in the Air: 5 Ways to “Adult” at Disney World this Valentine’s Season

This post was originally published in 2021. It has been fully updated for February 2026 with new luxury experiences. You will also find Valentine’s Day tips!

Once, a friend told me I was “weird” for taking a couple’s vacation to Walt Disney World. I’m perfectly okay with weird! What bothered me was that she didn’t realize just how luxurious, romantic, and “adult” a Disney vacation can actually be.

Disney has a well-earned reputation for being kid-centric. The same world-class service that makes it magical for children makes it an absolute dream for adults. If you’re looking to celebrate Valentine’s Day, or just a romantic February escape, here are five ways. You can experience the sophisticated side of the Mouse.

1. The Ultimate Spa & Deluxe Retreat

For the couple that defines “vacation” as pure relaxation, staying at a Disney Deluxe Resort is a must. This year, lean into the luxury:

  • The Grand Floridian Spa: Indulge in a “Cupid’s Touch” massage for two. This Victorian-style oasis offers personalized treatments. You can even select your own scent stone to set the mood for your journey.
  • Mandara Spa at the Dolphin: For a different kind of vibe, head over to the Mandara Spa. It’s the perfect place to disconnect from the world and reconnect with each other.

    2. Tee Time & Tropical Vibes

If your idea of romance involves a little friendly competition on the greens, Disney is a golfer’s paradise. Home to four world-class golf courses, you don’t even have to leave your resort to enjoy the views.

Saratoga Springs & Old Key West: Both resorts offer stunning vistas of the manicured fairways.

  • Old Key West captures that laid-back Florida Keys spirit. After a round of golf, enjoy a romantic boat ride to Disney Springs. Indulge in waterfront dining or try a moonshine flight at Homecomin.
  • 3. Savory Sips & Fine Dining

Forget chicken nuggets—February at Disney is for the foodies.

Sangria University: Head to Three Bridges Bar & Grill at Disney’s Coronado Springs for this 90-minute tasting experience. You’ll learn the history of sangria and even craft your own custom blend!

  • Signature Dining: For a Valentine’s date night, book a table at Jiko – The Cooking Place. Enjoy incredible South African wines. Alternatively, watch the fireworks from Topolino’s Terrace at the Riviera Resort.
  • 4. The Great Outdoors (With a Touch of Magic)

For couples who want to escape the hustle and bustle, Disney’s “wild” side offers incredible privacy.
