On our latest visit to EPCOT, we finally sat down for a family meal at Space 220—a restaurant that’s been on our list for a while. While I had experienced it once before on a business trip, it was KC and our son’s first time dining in orbit (well, 220 miles above EPCOT to be exact!). We were curious to see how it would feel as a family experience and whether my opinion from my first visit would change.
Spoiler alert: it didn’t. But that doesn’t mean it wasn’t worth the visit—especially for first-timers.
First, the Basics:
Space 220 opened in late 2021 in EPCOT’s World Discovery neighborhood. To reach the Centauri Space Station, you board a high-tech “space elevator” that simulates your launch into orbit. It’s an exciting, immersive touch that Disney does so well, and the views as you ascend (and descend) really set the tone.

Once “in space,” the theming continues beautifully. Floor-to-ceiling windows give you a look at Earth from above, while astronauts and space vehicles drift by in slow motion. There’s even a nod to the late, great Galactic Starcruiser.
The dining room is serene and sleek—quiet enough to relax, yet still engaging with the animated space scenes floating by.

Prix Fixe Pricing & Menu Rundown:
This restaurant features a prix fixe menu for both lunch and dinner:
- Lunch: $55/adult | $29/child (includes appetizer and entrée for adults; entrée, dessert, and drink for kids)
- Dinner: $79/adult | $35/child (adds dessert for adults; kids receive all three courses)
👉 Note: Adult beverages, including soft drinks, are not included.
Menu highlights include:
- Starters: Fried Calamari, Wagyu Carpaccio, Tempura Cauliflower, Charcuterie
- Entrées: Steak & Frites, Salmon, Signature Burgers, Pad Thai
- Desserts: Cheesecake, Chocolate Mousse, Sorbet, Gelato (some desserts cost extra)

Our Experience:
- I started with the Tempura Buffalo Cauliflower—crisp and spicy.
- KC went for the Wagyu Carpaccio, while our son tried the Luna Antipasti—a mini charcuterie.
- Mains included the Gemini Burger, Space Pad Thai, and Interstellar Steak & Frites.
- I also tried the Gamma Burst cocktail, which was sweet with a lot of boba pearls.
Overall? Good food. Good service. Great theming. But…
Would We Go Again?
Probably not.
Here’s why:
- The menu is fairly limited.
- The view doesn’t change from visit to visit.
- At $55+ per adult for lunch (plus drinks), it’s a hefty price for a one-time experience.
We’d recommend trying it once, especially if you’re looking for a unique, immersive atmosphere. Want a repeat-worthy EPCOT meal? Garden Grill is a great comparison: it offers character interaction, and a more dynamic menu for a similar (or slightly lower) price.
For a lighter, more flexible option, consider trying the lounge/bar seating at Space 220. The à la carte menu lets you enjoy the view without the prix fixe price—but space is limited, and availability is tough without a reservation.
Final Verdict
✅ Worth experiencing once—especially for first-timers or sci-fi fans.
⛔ Not quite enough variety or wow-factor to make it a repeat must-do.
