Planning a Walt Disney World vacation on a budget doesn’t mean sacrificing fun, convenience, or comfort. Disney’s Value Resorts offer immersive theming, solid amenities, and convenient transportation options.

That’s especially true for families looking to experience the magic without the luxury price tag. With five resorts to choose from, I’m breaking down the pros, cons, and average pricing of each, ranked based on overall stay experience.
#1 – Pop Century Resort
Average Price Per Night: $185–$250
Pop Century tops our list for its unbeatable balance of value, convenience, and style. This resort celebrates pop culture through the decades, featuring bright and whimsical theming that appeals to all ages. Most importantly, Pop Century is a Disney Skyliner resort, connecting guests quickly to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios—saving precious park time.

The rooms are recently refurbished with space-saving features like Murphy beds, modern design, and extra storage. The layout of the resort feels manageable, and everything—from dining to bus stops—is easy to reach. For families or couples seeking comfort, transportation convenience, and playful theming without the higher price tag of moderate resorts, Pop Century is a top pick.
#2 – Art of Animation Resort
Average Price Per Night:
- Family Suites: $450–$600
- Standard Little Mermaid Rooms: $185–$250
Art of Animation shines for families needing extra space. The family suites sleep up to six guests and include a separate bedroom, two bathrooms, and a kitchenette with a microwave and small fridge—a huge plus for longer stays or picky eaters. The theming is immersive, with sections inspired by Cars, The Lion King, Finding Nemo, and The Little Mermaid.
The Skyliner access is another bonus, located just behind the Finding Nemo section. However, standard Little Mermaid rooms are a bit of a hike from the main lobby and transportation, making them less convenient than they appear on paper. For large families or guests wanting more space, Art of Animation is still an excellent option, especially if staying in a suite.
#3 – All-Star Movies Resort
Average Price Per Night: $140–$200
All-Star Movies leads the trio of All-Star resorts thanks to its fun Disney theming and slightly elevated dining options. Recently refurbished rooms offer a similar layout to Pop Century, and the pool and common areas bring Disney magic to life with larger-than-life characters from Toy Story, 101 Dalmatians, and more.

It’s a great fit for families wanting a strong Disney atmosphere at the lowest price point. While transportation is limited to Disney buses and the resort can get busy, the value and experience are worth it for many travelers.
#4 – All-Star Music Resort
Average Price Per Night: $140–$190
All-Star Music offers family suites like Art of Animation, but with a more modest layout and theming. The resort is musically inspired with sections themed after jazz, calypso, and country. Like the other All-Stars, it only offers bus transportation.

While not as immersive or convenient as Pop or Art of Animation, All-Star Music is a solid middle-tier value resort—especially if you’re looking for a suite at a lower cost.
#5 – All-Star Sports Resort
Average Price Per Night: $135–$185
All-Star Sports is often the most budget-friendly but lands at the bottom of our list due to its reputation for noise and crowd levels. This resort is frequently used for large school groups and athletic teams competing at ESPN Wide World of Sports. While the theming is vibrant and fun for sports fans, guests may experience higher noise levels and less relaxation.

If you’re looking to save and don’t mind a more energetic vibe, it’s still a good entry point into Disney on a budget.
